On Feb. 22, Diane Griffin, Past President of the Natural History Society of PEI was honoured by the PEI Museum & Heritage Foundation with presentation of the Natural Heritage Activity Award. This award is presented to an individual who has made a significant volunteer contribution to the preservation or promotion of the natural heritage of Prince Edward Island.

Presented during Heritage Week activities at Beaconsfield, the citation noted the extensive role that Diane has played nationally and provincially in preservation of habitat, in leadership within various organizations, and her continued dedication to preservation or promotion of the natural heritage of Prince Edward Island.
