Fred Cheverie to speak on – Projects of the Souris and Area Watershed Group

Projects of the Souris and Area Watershed Group

Fred Cheverie, coordinator of the Souris and Area Branch of the PEI Wildlife Federation (SAB), will be the guest speaker for the May meeting of the Natural History Society of PEI. Fred’s presentation will deal with the activities of the SAB for their upcoming season. Additionally, he will discuss some of the recent success stories of the group, for example: project WEB’s, return of Atlantic salmon and a coastal erosion project on Souris Beach. Further, Fred plans to lend consideration to the trials and tribulations that small NGO’s encounter on PEI. The presentation will occur on Tuesday, May 1st 2012 at 7:30 pm at the Farm Center, 420 University Ave and is free to the public, all are welcome to attend.
