Birding The South Shore – With Ron Arvidson

    • In conjunction with Island Nature Trust, The Natural History Society and Birding on PEI, Ron Arvidson will host an event
      Sunday, September 9, 2012
      8:00am
      Cornwall, PEI

Birding on PEI would like to invite birders from beginner to expert to join us to look for shorebirds along the south shore from Nine Mile Creek to Carleton Cove. We will visit various sites along the way including Victoria, Tryon, Cape Traverse, Noonan’s Marsh and Carleton Cove. Bring your scope, your binoculars, your books, your camera and your enthusiasm. We will share what we see!

Also, please bring along a food item to share as we will stop along the way to have a lunch and share our joy for birding (and food)!

Meet at Tim Horton’s in Cornwall between 7:30 and 8:00. From there we may car pool and hit the Road at 8:00 sharp.

With this event we a partnering with Island Nature Trust and the PEI Natural History Society. We will also have information regarding the Atlantic Canada Shorebird Survey so that those who would like to become further involved may follow-up.

For more info check out the site on Facebook for the event.
