Greater Charlottetown Area Info:
Once again, this year Nature PEI has entered the Greater Charlottetown area into the City Nature Challenge! The Charlottetown project includes Charlottetown, Stratford, East Royalty, and Cornwall.
To participate, you’ll need to set up an iNaturalist account and join your local City Nature Challenge project by searching “City Nature Challenge 2026 Charlottetown PEI” on iNaturalist. To participate, get outside between April 24–27, 2026 to observe nature and upload your observations to iNaturalist.
You don’t need to attend an organized event to participate; you can take part from your backyard, neighbourhood, local park, or any outdoor area. However, Nature PEI will be offering a couple of events to help get you started!
Join us online on April 22 at 6:30pm for a brief overview of the City Nature Challenge, some tips for using iNaturalist and observing nature, and some highlights from the 2025 City Nature Challenge! To sign up for the webinar, email Julie-Lynn at zahavich@gmail.com.
