January 2026 Nature PEI — AGM and Presentation by Julie-Lynn Zahavich

Event Details

January’s Nature PEI meeting will feature a presentation by Julie-Lynn Zahavich entitled “Stories from the Field”. Her illustrated talk will follow a short AGM which starts at 7:30PM on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, at Beaconsfield Carriage House. Julie-Lynn will share “a collection of photos and stories (with some fun facts sprinkled in) that I have gathered over the last 15 years of working in the conservation field on PEI.” She works with the PEI Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action as a Forest Conservation Specialist, and volunteers as Program Coordinator for Nature PEI. She completed a Master of Science degree in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University (Victoria, BC) and has worked for a few Island environmental non-profit organizations over the years. She is an avid fibre artist in her spare time.
“My goal is to share some of the magical moments I’ve experienced in nature to hopefully inspire others to spend time outdoors and notice the plants and animals, big and small, that share our environment,” she continues. All are welcome.

Nature PEI Meetings are free; annual memberships for those who wish to support the organization’s goals and projects will be available for $20 (cash or cheque) at the meeting.

The presentation will also be livestreamed here at facebook.com/NaturePEI, and updates  will be at www.facebook.com/NaturePEI.
