Dragonfly Hunt and Photography Field Trip — Canada Day

Enjoy Canada Day Afternoon with a walk along Pigot’s Trail in Mt. Stewart hunting for dragonflies! Jake Harding will host this free family-friendly walk and help identify the insects, and all will share tips on taking photos.

The Field Trip runs from 1-2:30PM, and is at Pigot’s Trail, off Allisary Creek Lane in Mt. Stewart. Directions below.
The event is for multi-ages with parental supervision. Participants are asked to dress for the weather and terrain and consider biting insect repellent.
The event will be cancelled if the weather is too rainy. Updates will be here.
Directions: Take Route 2 to Mt. Stewart and turn on Route 351 (S. Main Street). Continue through Mt. Stewart on Rte 351 and bear left at the People’s Cemetery. Continue 480 metres and turn left on Allisary Creek Lane (dirt road). The Lane goes downhill to a parking lot, where Jake and others will be gathering.
