The annual October Continental Mycoblitz will see Nature PEI host two events suitable for all interested in mushroom-hunting and contributing to citizen science, both led by naturalists and mushroom experts.  

Mycoblitzes are taking place Saturday, October 3rd, at Trout River Riparian Zone Natural Area, 36927 Western Road, Coleman, led by Rosemary Curley, is suitable for all ages, and people are encouraged to show up at 10AM. Rosemary will help participants with identification of what they find.

Saturday, October 10th, starting at 10AM, Ken Sanderson will lead a mycoblitz of the Strathgartney Provincial Park area, with people collecting in specific areas and all regrouping to share identification of specimens. To help with coordination, Ken requests preregistration at <ken@hoperiver.ca>  

Nature PEI’s “Common Mushrooms of PEI”  key-card set will be given to participants (as supplies last).
