To foster public awareness and debate on conservation and environment issues, Island organizations are sponsoring an all-party public forum with candidates in the Charlottetown riding. On Tuesday, April 19, the public is invited to hear candidates answer questions at the Holland College (Charlottetown Centre) Lecture Theatre on Kent St. from 7-9pm.
The event will be an excellent opportunity to hear the views of the four candidates on a variety of topics that affect both our province and our country. The candidates will answer questions from some of the sponsoring organizations, after which there will be ample time for questions from the floor. Topics will include everything from addressing climate change to funding sustainable agriculture.
The meeting is organized by the Environmental Coalition of PEI, the Island Nature Trust, the PEI Watershed Alliance, the PEI Environmental Health Cooperative, the Natural History Society of PEI, the PEI Wildlife Federation and the Sierra Club.
