There are many beautiful Island plants that are quite rare. Gary Schneider of Macphail Woods will elaborate on and share some of the splendor encompassed within these plants as the guest speaker for the October meeting of the Natural History Society. Specifically, Gary will use his work at Macphail Woods to illustrate the process of not only finding and propagating these plants, but also how to fit them back into our highly disturbed landscape. The talk will focus on restoring plant diversity within the province and how we can all play a role in this important work. This presentation is free to the public and will occur on Tuesday, October 4th, 2011, 7:30 pm at the Farm Center, 420 University Avenue.
