May 2026 Nature PEI Meeting — Sharks with Paige Crowell

Nature PEI May Program with Paige Crowell on PEI’s White Shark and other Species at Risk
On Tuesday, May 5th, Nature PEI will host a short meeting followed by a Presentation on the White Shark and other Species at Risk, with biologist Paige Crowell. The Meeting starts at 7:30PM at Beaconsfield Carriage House, corner of Kent and West Streets in Charlottetown; after sharing sightings and a short raffle break, the program starts about 8PM.
Paige will share a collection of photos and information about the White Shark and where it has been seen off Prince Edward Island, and also talk about other species at risk that frequent the Gulf of St. Lawrence, including the Blue Whale, North Atlantic Right Whale and Leatherback Sea Turtle.
Paige Crowell is a biologist with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans’ Species at Risk Program. She grew up in Charlottetown and now lives in Halifax. In her free time, she enjoys being in and on the water, or home on the PEI beach.
Nature PEI Meetings are free and welcome all ages; annual memberships for those who wish to further support the organization’s goals and projects are $20 (cash or cheque) at the meeting.
Light refreshments will be served. The presentation will be livestreamed on the Nature PEI Facebook page and may be recorded for future viewing.
