Species at Risk Travelling Museum now at Basin Head Fisheries Museum

Basin Head Fisheries Museum east of Souris is the current stop for the Nature PEI Species at Risk Travelling Museum! The display was set up Thursday with the help of the dynamic staff, including Site Manager Elizabeth MacDonald (in photo with banner) and PEI Museum and Heritage Curator of History Samantha Kelly (on the ladder!).

The location inside is gorgeous, in an airy lofty room among the Fisheries Museum fascinating collections. There\’s space for our newest edition, the Little Myotis bat carving by Donna Martin, to soar!

And outside is gorgeous, too, with the Singing Sands Beach just down the hill, and shops and a dandy ice cream shop up by the Museum.

Basin Head Fisheries Museum is open 9:30AM-5PM seven days a week, with admission of $6 adults, $5 seniors and students, and free for kids 4 and under. Family rates and Museum \”Passport\” discounts available. There are three floors of displays!

The Nature PEI Species at Risk Travelling Museum will be at Basin Head until Friday, August 11th. tentatively, and then \”head out\” to Bedeque Area Historical Museum.
